League City Charter Chapter Of ABWA To Spotlight Cross-Cultural Communication At June 19th Meeting
The American Business Women's Association, League City Charter Chapter, will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, June 19, at South Shore Harbour Country Club. Networking begins at 6:30. Pat Cuchens, of Professional Writing Resources, will conduct a workshop on cross-cultural communication skills. Knowing that employers value employees who can write and speak effectively, especially in the growing global economy, she will present a fun program for members and guests.
The American Business Women's Association, League City Charter Chapter, is a group of career-minded professionals who support the goals of the organization. ABWA's mission is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.
The League City Charter Chapter meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the South Shore Harbour Country Club at 4300 South Shore Blvd, in League City, TX, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Swim Lessons Offered By Poseidon Pools
Poseidon Pools will be offering morning swim lessons at the Pineloch swimming pools. Classes begin in June. Below is a list of class levels and times.
Time Session One
June 9 - 20Session Two

July 21 - Aug 1Bay Knoll Pool 10:00 a.m. Level 3 Level 4 Level 3 Level 3 Oak Chase Pool 10:30 a.m. Level 2 Level 3 Level 2 Level 2 Mabry Mill Pool 11:00 a.m. Level 1 Level 1 Toddler Level 1 Classes will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The cost for each session is $70. A full group session runs for eight days. Each class is 30 minutes. If there are not enough students to fill a class, the following will be offered:
- 3 - 6 students: Full Group Lesson -- eight days
- 2 students: Semi-private Lesson -- six days
- 1 student: Private Lesson -- four days

- National Night Out -- Tuesday, August 5
6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Turn the lights out on crime! Nation-wide meet your neighbor event. Plan your own block party! Parties registered with HPD may receive an officer visit. (You know you want to sound the siren!)
- Dive In Movie Night -- Saturday, August 23
8:00 p.m. at the Mabry Mill Pool. Family movie night -- popcorn too!
